Welcome from the President:
Fellow/future Tar Heels, parents, and friends:
My name is Morgan Pergande, President of the Interfraternity Council here at The University of North Carolina. On behalf of our 24 constituent chapters, welcome to the IFC website. Here you will find information on each chapter, as well as recruitment information and upcoming events.
As the governing body for all twenty-four IFC fraternities at UNC, we are the largest men’s organization on campus. This presents us with the distinct opportunity to have a wide influence in the University community. We pride ourselves on our four core values: Scholarship, Campus Involvement, Brotherhood, and Philanthropy.
An added focus of our council for the upcoming year is increasing unity across the Greek community and reestablishing the image and definition of a Carolina Greek. This initiative will be a collective effort, and I invite any current or aspiring Greek member to reach out with ideas for further collaboration.
Many of our chapters were founded before the turn of the twentieth century, and the challenge of continuing and improving such a storied tradition is one we take very seriously. As our nation’s first public university and one of the premier institutions in the South, UNC provides each student with a wide range of opportunities during their tenure.
I invite each of you to explore our site and discover the great opportunities the IFC has for you. I also invite you to contact any of our executive board members, and we will be happy to assist in any way possible.
