Alpha Sigma of Chi Psi was founded in 1855 as the fifth fraternity at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 1861, the brothers left the lodge to take up arms and fight in the civil war. It was in 1928 that Alpha Sigma was re-founded to restore the ideals of Chi Psi at Carolina. The current Lodge was built in 1934 and added to in 1948. The Lodge sits upon two and a half acres just west of campus at 321 W Cameron Avenue. We hold rush in both the spring and fall semesters.
